Through usage of this technique, the user is able to accelerate the flow of Chakra in his body, thus creating a small electric current that can be passed onto a hand-held weapon, or concentrated on a small part of the user's body to attack with. Doing so allows the user to add 15 points of electricity damage to any unarmed attacks and weapon with which the user is in direct contact with the metal part that strikes the target (therefore, a sword generally isn't affected). Ranged and thrown weapon are not affected by Jakuden.

The user may also use Jakuden to make unarmed melee touch attacks instead and simply deal 25 points of electricity damage, to which he does not apply his strength damage, nor can the attack score a critical hit. While Jakuden remains active, the user benefits from a +1 bonus to Str and Dex saves against electricity based effects and techniques.
