One of the earth element's sole low-level damaging techniques can only be used on firm or hard earthen ground, such as stone, and the user must be able to touch his hand directly against the ground. The ground under the targeted area explodes, dealing 25 points of earth damage to any creature standing directly on it, damage increasing by 1.5 times against prone creatures, as the ground bursts apart violently. Damage from this technique can be halved with a successful reflex save.
